Agenda Highlights

One item of importance at the Board of Directors meeting will be a discussion of a proposed amendment to our By-Laws to explicitly allow audio conference and video conference meetings. We used audioconference in April and will do so in July based on the Governor’s state of emergency declaration since nothing in our By-Laws explicitly prohibits it. However, a strict reading of Robert’s Rules of Order would disallow it in normal times. Should the Board of Director’s approve of such a modification, we can discuss it at the General Membership meeting but due to notice requirements, we will not be able to vote on it until our October meeting.

We will also discuss whether or not we will hold our Fall tests which are tentatively scheduled for October 17-18th. It is likely to be held at Jean Dieden’s place in Clinton (Whidbey Island). Currently, Jill Petersen is the trial chair, Michelle is the Co-Chair, Melissa is the Secretary, and Jo Ann Larkin has offered to help. Because of the uncertainty of holding the tests, no judges have been selected or other preparation made except verifying that we can utilize Jean’s “if Covid-19 is no longer an issue”. So we will have to verify what that means closer to the tests.
