Puget Sound Earthdog Club is proud to host an AKC Earthdog Seminar for Judges & Handlers on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Argus Ranch in Auburn, WA. These seminars are few and far between, so you won't want to miss this one. The seminar will be followed by two days of Earthdog tests in nearby Kent WA.

This seminar is very useful for people fairly new to Earthdog who want to learn more about the tests as well as those who are thinking about becoming an Earthdog judge. And of course, it is great for those of us longtime earthdoggers as a refresher on the rules.

The seminar will be presented by Jo Ann Frier-Murza, the AKC Field Representative for Earthdog. Jo Ann has been active in Terrier and Dachshund den trials since 1972. In 1993 she worked with AKC to establish the sport of Earthdog and has hosted and judged numerous tests. She authored the book Earthdog Ins & Outs, 2nd Ed.

This seminar is a classroom presentation and discussion followed optionally by the judge’s test. Anyone who attends the seminar can take the test; there is no additional charge for taking the test.

A light lunch, coffee, and water will be provided. Other dietary needs should be self-provided.

We will not be working any dogs at the seminar. There will be a Friday evening Earthdog practice at our nearby Earthdog test site in Kent just 20 minutes away as well as two days of Earthdog tests to follow.

Seminar starts: 8:00 am (promptly)
Lunch Break: 12:00-12:30 (approximately)
Finish: 3:30 pm (approximately, depending on discussions)
Judge's Test Administration: 3:30 – 4:30

Seminar Cost: $30 per person if paid by June 22nd. $45 per person if paid after that date.
Registration Form: may be found here.
